Biography

Shanna serves as one of the real estate paralegals for the firm but has prior experience in family law, workers’ compensation, probate/estate planning, general litigation, and occupational illness cases for U.S. Dept. of Energy employees at the DOE facilities in Oak Ridge, Tennessee through the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act/U.S. Department of Labor. For 20 years, she was a Certified Legal Assistant through the National Association of Legal Assistants. A native of Arkansas, Shanna and her family have resided in Missouri, Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee. She and her husband have two children, five grandchildren, and two grandpuppies. Her life, on the flip side, once included a side business making custom decorated sugar cookies during the years she lived in Knoxville, which kept her going full speed with a customer base that included a mix of nearly 200 individuals and businesses while working full time as a paralegal. Now she keeps busy with the grandkids and activities at her church, including singing in the worship choir and ringing handbells.
